    Why?

Everyone's laughing, and having a good time,
How can they do that during this pain of mine?
And everyone's trying to comfort me,
I only wish that they would leave,

Nothing they say can bring relief,
I'm drowning in this storm of grief,
I need answers to explain all this pain,
Here comes the storm and here comes the rain.

Why, oh why, did He take you away?
Is there something He's trying to say?
Why, oh why, did He take you away?
Why, oh why, can't you be here today?

The Lord gives and the Lord takes away,
I just wish He would have let you stay,
You'll not be forgotten, of that, I'll make sure,
But pain is something just memories can't cure.

My memories of you never will fade,
I'll be thinking of you for all my days,
But memories alone can't stop the thunder,
And once again I wonder, I wonder.

Why, oh why, did He take you away?
Is there something He's trying to say?
Why, oh why, did He take you away?
Why, oh why, can't you be here today?

What can I do living without you?
The days you're here number too few,
    Now you are gone away,
    Will I know why someday?

    Someone tell me why,
    Can someone tell me why?
Can someone take away this pain?
Can someone stop this endless rain?

Why, oh why, did He take you away?
Is there something He's trying to say?
Why, oh why, did He take you away?
Why, oh why, can't you be here today?

When all is said and done,
    The battle must be won,
    My wonderings must cease,
I need to find my peace,

    Every single day I wonder,
Will the knowledge stop the thunder?
And I wonder that, if maybe someday,
I will not ask why He took you away.

This is great! I like it. Tragic and powerful. It goes not just with guitar but with orchestra also.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
