Wings
I escape through an open window, knowing my certain fate,I must get through my only shot before it is too late.
As I make my outside, I begin my feverlish flight,
The rain is hard, it hits my wings, but, I know I must win the fight.
I survived the rain and find myself in a field of heavenly flowers,
I managed not to hit the ground and tomorrow may bring more showers.
At the crack of light and the sun shining bright, I'm off on another flight.
I've weathered the storms and kept my wings moving and the purpose of my flight?
To never look down, to stay off the ground, to make sure I do what's right!
