Without you

Without you

my sunny days no longer seem as bright,

the moon no longer seems as big at night.

my rainy days just keep on coming,

those annoying crickets keep on humming.

everything is now tasteless,

beautiful things are now dull,

and my heart is no longer full.

the gaping whole just seems to get wider,

my lungs feel like they're getting smaller ,pulling tighter.

without you, the world revolves the other way,

hours seem longer all in my day.

i don't think anymore tears can come down

for they've all come out , and made my eyes drown.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
