    Wolfs Bane

    Candle legs and steaming flame,

Hearken unto me with moon under wane.

Listen to the rhythm of nature’s beat,

So much passion, so full of heat.

I gather my things to summon the utmost,

Gathering my information from coast to coast.

I see you wandering in blissful nights,

Ever summoning the inner me that can sometimes give fright.

I look to you like a night stalker,

Ever swelling thy presence before me as an alluring walker.

    Candle flame,

    Wolf’s Bane.

    I justify my reason,

To the changing of the seasons.

I gather myself for all I’m worth,

Hail unto my Queen, so full of mirth.

I slip beside the night shade tree,

Glistening in the night filled beam.

    I crouch, I crawl,

Listening to the sound of thy heartbeat,

    So eager to fall.

    Down,

Down to the ground in silent portrayal,

Whispering the names of the ancient Ariel.

    Night comes to an end,

And still I’m in a bend.

I do not wish to leave thee,

All I want is your essence to drive in me.

The dawn has awaken my soul,

Filling me with love and godsend from above.

As I shape shift back I close my fangs,

    Upon thy neck,

    Heavenly I sang.

    To the moon,

The night is about to be ending soon.

    Forever in my heart,

This was my intention from the start.

OMG, TC! I love this piece! It's always been a fantasy of mine since youth. It's to be expected from someone from New Orleans.

wow. I'm speechless. You have a beautiful form. The flow was great. Wonderful, just plain wonderful. ~the fraz

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
