    You're no lady

In the early 80s we kids dreaded to see you get on the school bus.
Everyday when we were on our way to school, you cussed.
You cussed hundreds of times and you were only in the third grade.
If you still cuss like you did back then, you're probably an old maid.
When you cursed, it was something that none of us kids wanted to hear.
We would've paid a hundred dollars just to have ear plugs in our ears.
It was terrible to hear such language from a little girl
You're a woman but you're no lady and it makes me want to hurl.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
