A Distant Summer’s Dream

A Distant Summer’s Dream

The distant sun was rising - Behind the fog adrift

The radiance emerging - Burns through the vapor mist

The breeze of dawn came slowly - A breath against her skin

The mystic azure shadows… - Left fading in the wind

Beyond the violet haze - The Mountains dressed in green

Majestically so peaceful… - A Distant Summer’s Dream

Delightful splendid pleasure - Was coursing through her veins

Now burning with desire - Consumed by passion’s flame

From her need to slick her lust - She’ll suffer passion’s heat

Satisfaction is a must… - Her victory complete

Behind her lover’s gaze - Sublime and so serene

Majestically so peaceful… - A Distant Summer’s Dream

Abandoned in her passion - Lost in the deep abyss

She prayed for his returning - To feel his tender kiss

The hope he would remember - The fear she’d have to wait

Would she arrive too early…? - Would he arrive too late?

Again it a honor to read your thoughts&feelings from your heart, keep up the good work.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
