Poem Commentary

Written February 3, 2007  for my beautiful daughter Cassandra

Cassandra

The stars in the sky at night shine upon the sea

Just like the sparkle in your eyes

Reflecting dancing light, waves crashing over me

Your love was such a sweet surprise

The rushing emotions – The spray of the sea

I sail “Cassandra” alone

Tossed by the ocean – So wild and free

I’m sailing “Cassandra” home

I’m thinking of you and I’m sailing “Cassandra” home

Help me to find a way to get back home to you

I’m living for the day I get back home to you

I’ve been away so long I don’t know right from wrong

I’m thinking of you and I’m sailing “Cassandra” home

It was a honor to read your thoughts&feelings too it had touch my heart, keep up the good work.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
