    A Promise

    A Promise

As I sit on this bench,in the silence of the night

trying to keep,my thoughts in sight

feeling the softness of the breeze,as it passes ever so light

as a tear rolls down my cheek as I try to hold on to a love so tight.

A love that brought out the best in me

but others did not want to see

Why couldn't people open there eyes and know what is meant to be

But they tore it apart, for you and me

So everyday when the twlight returns

    and the moon shines bright

You will hear my name, ever so light

with the breezes of night, you will feel my touch,of a love returns.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
