    A Soldier's Homecoming

    When A Soldier Comes Home
    It's A Joyous Happy Day
    Loved Ones Gather
    With So Much To Say

    But Sometimes These Homecomings
    Have A Very Bad Way
    Of Making It A Cloudy
    Depressing Sad Day

    He Comes Home By Plane
Draped In Red, White, And Blue
    He Died For What's Right
    He Died For What's True

    So Rejoice His Life
    For What He Has Done
    Not That He's Passed
    That He's Moved On

    Know That He Stands
    At The Gates Shining Bright
With A Smile On His Face
    Showing No Fright

    He's In God's Loving Arms
And Has A Message To Say
    It's I'm Here Every Step
I'll Be With You Every Day

To The Soldiers Who Have Fought And Come Home
And To The Soldiers Who's Lives Were Lost Fighting For Our Freedom
Their Effort Is What Inspired Me To Write This Poem
A Few Of Those Soldiers Being My Family And Friends
    So Rejoice For Them
When You See Them Pass Wave And Say Thanks
Don't Bash Them Or Trash What They Do
Because You Cant Judge Who They Are Because When It Comes Down To It There Is Only One Judge In Life
And He Doesnt Like It When You Say Such Things

very well said and very well expressed.. so true... thank you

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
