Wind is blowing giving its chill
Rain is falling nothing is standing still
The day drags on, dreary and cold
not wanting to be out in this weather
no one to hold
The ground soaking up all the rain
as it comes down
No where else for it to go
Pitter-Patter the only sound
Looking for that break in the clouds
wanting to smile not have this frown
Trying to keep warm and dry
sitting here thinking of my lover
letting out this deep sigh
How I long for his gentle touch
Long to hear his words of confessed love
Thinking of all we will do
Knowing in my heart how much
I Love You
Wind blows harder chilling to the bone
Wishing for my baby to be safely
here at home
The day still drags on slowly
