Alone
Tossed on the blacktop
like dirty clothes on the floor.
Garbage in the street
black pebble tar in my hair.
I look up
and see the yellow moon
polluted clouds dance around in
threatening to hide its shine.
Wind scatters plastic bags
bugs fly around the street lights.
The moon smiles down upon me
but this overwhelming emotion pulls my eyelashes down
Emotion I don’t want to face tonight
no with this peaceful dirty night swarms around me.
I fall asleep alone...
In the yellow starry darkness
that accepts me for my flaws
and I nestle in to the gutter of home
like dirty clothes on the floor.
Garbage in the street
black pebble tar in my hair.
I look up
and see the yellow moon
polluted clouds dance around in
threatening to hide its shine.
Wind scatters plastic bags
bugs fly around the street lights.
The moon smiles down upon me
but this overwhelming emotion pulls my eyelashes down
Emotion I don’t want to face tonight
no with this peaceful dirty night swarms around me.
I fall asleep alone...
In the yellow starry darkness
that accepts me for my flaws
and I nestle in to the gutter of home
