Amnesty (Set them Free)

Amnesty (Set them Free)

Last time she saw him

She never said goodbye

He was beaten cuffed and chained

Given no reason why

With his picture in her pocket

She goes searching through the graves

With a head full of memories

And a heart full of pain

Her hands twist up in fists of rage

She searches on alone

Past soldiers from a cruel regime

Who's hearts are made of stone

When she cried out for justice

No one heard her screams

Mothers weep and life is cheap

And Freedoms just a dream

Set them free set them free

All we ask is set them free

Set them free from their torment

Give them back their dignity

Break the chains that bind them

All we ask is set them free

Set them free set them free

You walk through the world like your a big man

I guess that must be easy with a gun in your hand

Your a travelling circus

In the theatre of the damned

Caught up in the hatred

Thats poisoning your land

Their are voices down the corridor

That sound like screams of pain

Praying in a prison cell

To see blue skies again

Someone should let the world know

Will no one hear their cries

Does anybody care at all

If they live or die

Set them free set them free

All we ask is set them free

Does the pain go on forever

Does the heartache ever mend

Will the candle lit for freedom

Bring them hope in the end

It's time to sit and listen

The world should take a stand

We cant't go on forever

With our heads stuck in the sand

Set them free set them free

Give them back their dignity

Break the chains that bind them

ALL WE ASK IS SET THEM FREE
