As I Lie My Head
Primal Instinct. It dates back to childhood. Birth Probably. “Mommas Boy” “Daddy’s Girl”. Its how we were made. Around age 12 you start to fight with whichever parent is the same sex as you. And Commonly cling to the one who is opposite. Many People Form a close relationship with the opposite gender parent. In the case of a woman, It goes from “mommy & daddy” to “Mom & Daddy” Men the opposite. Which is how we were made.
With that in perspective consider your sleeping habits as a child. Growing up the number one place for sleeping, up until I was about eight, was Daddy’s chest, right up under his arm. I was safe, I was warm, I was protected, and content. Watching my brothers I See them happy as can be , head resting on my mothers lap. There they know they have her attention, they know she wont leave them, they are content. This is how we are made.
Considering these things, Think of your mate. Personally, I sleep soundest Curled under his arm lying on his chest. Even if Im not tired all my stress melts into his chest and I am at ease. Safe, Content. And with his head on my lap me running my fingers through his hair, or over his face. He almost purrs like a kitten. Happy there knowing all my attention is his. From this point of view I feel as though I am supplying a great service. Giving him pure bliss, as he gives me straight from his chest. Where I can hear his heart beat singing to me. This is how it was made.
As an adult, absent from me is the father whose chest kept me safe. But him, Warm and content I have very near me now. He is mine, Never Have I been more sure than when I am with him in this way. Rather he is providing the service, or me. Either way I am happy. If ever there was a doubt in my mind as to who was for me, It is gone. It is Him. For me, He was made.
