    Aunt Debra

As I see you lying there
    so helpless and true.
    Nothing can explain
    the pain that I feel.
    It's almost your time
    to say "Goodbye,"
    But wait, there is
so much I haven't told you.
There is so much to say
    and so little time.
    So I'll narrow it down
    to three little words
    with so much meaning:
    "I Love You."
    "Rest in peace, Aunt Debbie."

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
