    Baby...

Baby, crazy! I am going crazy over you.
Everyone has told me to follow my heart.
Never to fear what love has to offer.
Love came when I least expected it to.
When it came I knew it, from your embrace.
Baby, soon! Soon I will be home with you.
How long can we live this way?
I know soon I will hear your voice.
This is where we will get our start.
I can't stand us being apart.
Baby, love! Loving you is all I want to do.
I want to know you are near me.
I will shower you with hugs and kisses.
I love you more today then yesterday.
I want to hold you and never be apart for very long.
Baby, call! Call me, so I can hear your voice,
The voice that caresses my soul and makes me smile.
I want to know our love will survive.
    To me you mean everything.
I want to know if you feel the same way.
Baby, good night! I know when I sleep I think of you.
I close my eyes and can recount all our time together.
I lie down and can feel your touch on my skin.
When I tell you good night as the sun goes down,
I wish I could hold you until the sun comes up.
Baby, soon! Soon we will be together as one.
I know this time apart is good for us both.
Soon it will be a daily thing were I can kiss you.
I know that when we are apart we grow closer.
I hope you know how my feelings are growing stronger.
Baby, kisses! I can not wait to kiss you everyday.
I know that the day will come when it can.
Kissing you melts my insides and turns me to jelly.
I love to kiss you lips and your neck.
I love to feel your sweet caress as you kiss me.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
