    Independence Day

    Independence Day

Today we celebrate our countries Independence Day.
Thank someone you know that helps keep our country this way.

Many will celebrate this holiday with family and friends.
Picnics and barbeques are usually how the party begins.

Fireworks will light up the skies by dusk.
For this holiday, fireworks are truly a must.

Celebrate in your own way, the freedoms we enjoy each day.
We must truly be thankful these freedoms have not gone away.

If you see a solider or vet, be sure to thank them when you can.
Because with soldiers is where our independence began.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
