Battle

The rain soaks my face
hiding the tears you have caused me
i sit and wait in the coldness of the night
waiting for you to notice that im gone
hoping you would come and rescue me
hoping you would pull me away
away from this edge
this lonly
dark edge
of life and death
i shouldnt get my hopes up
you would never come to rescue me
you have never cared enough
enough to pull me away from
this edge of deciding a future or death
i come to this sore relization
relizing that this decision can not be made by you
its my decision to love and to hate
on this debate of life and death
seeing this peacefull rocky stream below
or this up hill fight of life ahead
i always strived for the best
i guess that was the fight in me
but then the fighty got fought
tell there was nothing left
but with this dieing las breath
i will fight for life
no matter how hard you hit me
wanting me to die
i will stand and live
live for my future
for the people i will impact

im fighting for you

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
