BEST FRIENDS
We've grown together, you and I
Loyal friends throughout the years
So much time spent together
Sharing giggles, gossip, and tears.
We've double dated, then compared
The good and bad points of our "beau's"
We've "critiqued" each other choices
Of make-up, boyfriends, and clothes.
We met when we were in high school
(Was it really that long ago!)
From bobby socks to I-Pod's
Oh how fast those years did go!
" We were bride's maids at each other's
weddings
And when each other's children came
We spent many an hour discussing
What would be each baby's name".
But now, dear friend, you've moved away
And left me here all alone
But I never let it get me down
I just dial up your cell phone.
Yes, that miracle of modern invention
That reaches out across the miles
Has helped to keep us together
And lights up our faces with smiles.
The computer, another modern miracle
Has given me this very special way
To let you know you're in my heart
Each and every single day!
