Birthday Reflections

Each year another birthday rolls around
I drop to my knees and pray
I thank You, Lord, for the gift of life
Giving thanks to even be here today.

I think about all the friends I've lost
Friendships O  so dear,
I think about how they loved their life
But now, are no longer here.

So many times we take for granted
The precious things in life,
Not even knowing if we'll have a tomorrow
That will end our joy and strife.

I thank You, Lord for all the times 
Your blessings pulled me through,
Without You moving each day in my life
Don't know what I would do.

You brought me through the dark times in my life
Where I couldn't even see a way out,
When i thought I had no reason to live
You showed me what life is all about.

You showed me my worth that had been destroyed
By the pains in life doing me,
For a moment I ran away from the pain
And ending up living in sin.

But now I see the ONLY way
Is to never stopped trusting You,
If you brought me through all the pains of the past
You will always see me through.
