    branches

    stretching across the sky

what is it they reach for

    the heavens

    the warmth of the sun

or the the embrace of the moon

    naked they are as they

    scatter across the

    soft blue unending mass

    rooted deeply

    they wonder

    to their limits

    stretched and beggin

    for a simple touch

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
