CAGED HEART
My heart remains caged...
Locked from love's rage...
A heart that once knew love, turned to stone.
It beats, all alone, on its own.
A heart that refuses to be rescued,
Harden from so much abuse...
Solid memories of hurt caused by love,
Contains more wounds than it should.
So this heart within, I protect...
For from love it knows what to expect...
Hidden within me it shall remain,
It wont get pulled into another game.
Hidden from love, harden by pain...
A heart of stone is what it became...
Will it give love, It wont allow love,
It just waits to be returned to up above.
