    FORGET

FORGET THE TIMES HE MADE YOU CRY
THOSE TEARS HELPED YOU LEAVE HIM BEHIND
FORGET THE TIMES HIS HANDS BECAME FISTS
THOSE FISTS WILL HELP WHEN HE'S BEING MISSED
FORGET ALL THE MEAN AND HURTFUL WORDS HE PLACED IN YOUR MIND
THOSE WORDS WILL FADE AWAY WITH TIME
FORGET THAT LOVE YOU THOUGHT YOU KNEW
THAT LOVE WAS WHAT MADE YOU HIS FOOL...

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
