CHARRED REMAINS

Charred Remains

It's not what I did, But what I didn't do,
So I lie here, Dreaming of blue skies,
A cool breeze, A tall glass of lemonade,
Oh what a heavenly feeling, Such peace,
Peace that is soon shattered,
I open my eyes, not to angels,
But birds falling from the sky, Big Birds,
Dead Birds with smoking feathers, Raining birds,
I search for shelter but there is none,
All around me on this burnt landscape,
Still they drop out of the nightmarish sky,
When they hit they burst into flames, Oh God what a smell,
I find myself now waste deep in what I hope is mud,
It bubbles and spits and gets into my eyes,Stings like hell,
I struggle and fight just to stay upright, finally I climb out,
Ahead of me is a forest, Charred trees with no leaves,
I see little red eyes glowing from within, Waiting,
No way in hell will I go in there, Then again I don't have too,
As they are now coming to me, I turn as to run,
But I am much to slow, With a scream they are on me,
Clawing and biting they scream with delight,
I feel I am just one more delicious morsel for there plight,
Just as suddenly they are gone, They have done their deed,
I look down at whats left of me, I am charred but complete,
My remains have made it another day in this heat,
The flames die done, the wind sounds like a tornado,
With a blast all is frozen, Now all I do is wait a hundred years,
Like a statue till I thaw to enjoy one more day in the fires of HELL...............................
