DEAD
I lie here, Arms folded across my chest,My eyes are cold, Shiny copper coins cover them,
I can not see,
My ankles are crossed left over right,
I stretch out my arms, Palms up,
I do not breath, I only feel,
I feel the sticky wetness on my ankles,
There is no pain,
In my palms pools of life form, They do not spill,
Tears well up, Moving the coins till they slide off,
Hitting the floor they roll away, Who now to pay the ferry man,
My heart is still, Silent, There is no beat,
I sit up as to arise, Only to fall back in peace,
My mouth is dry, I can not speak, Only think,
My muscles are stiff, They do not heed my thoughts or will,
It is cold, It is dark,
I know not where I am, Who I am, Only know that I am,
There is no memory worth remembering,
I am losing track of my reality, I lost track of time,
I have gone beyond myself,.....I am gone..................
