~CHEROKEE CEREMONY~
The Sun peaks over the Mountains,
it's the Dawn of her Wedding Day;
She's waited a lifetime it seems,
to be one with her Indian Brave.
In the distance howls a She Wolf,
'tis a beautiful sound to her ear's;
She can smell the aroma of Coffee,
taste the salt from her joyous tear's.
Her excitement grows with each second,
her smile she can not contain;
For she knows that after this evening,
she will never again be the same.
Her Village hurries to greet her,
preparing for her special day;
Her Mother presents the garment she'll wear,
when she marries her Indian Brave.
When the Sun begins to set,
she emerges from her TeePee, aglow;
She's waited two years for this moment,
every since she was first betrothed.
As they join their hand's in love,
she gazes at the man she'll marry;
And as the Chief chants the Wedding Vows,
along with the wind, her heart's carried.
They both look into the other ones eye's,
and she knows how blessed she is;
For now she belongs to her Indian Brave,
and she is forever now his.
