This school work we must endure,

    Geometry, World History, Spanish,

Study all day and night we must,

If time we lack we must adjust

These books heavy as a brick we must carry

This load we carry resembles slave labor and is scary

    This day is long

But we must man up and be strong

This school is a riled giant

We are just a single client

We work laboriously in these old books

Sweating away, having no time to worry about looks

These pages we turn age us slightly

Everything we do must not be taken lightly

    Then comes our lunch

We drink sweet smooth smoothies as we munch

    And when we’re done

We go right back to the “fun”

By this I mean the work

We endure sitting through the blackest murk

Oddly I keep on my face a smirk

Finally the end of the day is near

    I can’t believe it’s finally here

The days are torture: suffer them

The pains are weaknesses that suppress the feelings

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
