The Wrong Key to Her Heart
As the days drag on I think of her
Her perfect smile, her warm body embracing me, and her never ending love
Her heart is as pure as a dove
I just wonder where we went wrong
I thought what we had was lifelong
Our love was a perfect circle, but now is oblong
And it’s partly my fault for being so headstrong
I was arrogant and self-centered
I’m not sure how into this phase I entered
And now I’m most definitely missing her
But it’s not just my fault for she was a great actor
Making false claims to love was a great factor
She totally had me fooled
Our “perfect” relationship was misruled
I found this out the hard way
On that dreadful rainy day
I walked in on her and another guy
Just as they were saying bye
But I could see it in her eyes
And could read all the lame latent lies
I finally knew the truth
I figured it out as if I were a sleuth
She was so ignorant in her youth
And now I know what she’s really about
And I’m glad I finally found out
She wasn’t in it for love
But was in it for lust
But it’s ok because I can find a way to adjust
I can move on without her
There is still a glimmer of hope
I’ve just got to keep on climbing and get over that slope
