    Dare I

Dare I smile, dare laugh and play the careless fool?
Dare I wait, dare dream and in so doing dream of you?
Dare I trace, with footsteps of naivety, the starlit lovers’ course?
Dare I hope, dare trust and open up my heart without remorse?

Dare I wonder, dare share and let you see into my soul?
Dare I try, dare laugh with you and in laughing, dare let go?
Dare I weep without the safety of the darkness?
Dare I let the gates; dare you see my every weakness?

Another great poem.Beautifully descriptive.I love your poems and am envious of your unique style and talent.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
