    Me

I am not cruel, nor am I cold; I simply do not heed…
Why should I have the price to pay?
I am not heartless, ruthless; I simply do not see…
    What did I do? Say?

I am not dark, nor am I mean: I am simply- me…
Why should I bear a stain for such?
I am not merciless, harsh: I simply do not see…
What is it that you hate so much?

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
