Shades

Shades

Wrap ‘round dark ties of loyalty, symphony undone…
Recall with soft subtlety, pasts so near unwon…
Countenance of purity, unspoiled by tomorrows…
Requiem with shadows; forever stained with sorrows.

Caress with willingness, the child’s ill laid questioning…
Undo me little one, thy gifts forever will they sing…
Shored up behind gray whisperings…
No chance now to ever spread their wings.

well done

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
