    Dear Michael Jackson

I was just a child; a Pretty young thing

    I barely knew my ABCs

You instilled great words for Music and me

You made History; You’re just another part of me

You’ve given so much to the children; to your fans

But your battle with demons got out of hand

There were charges of sexual and substance abuse

They grabbed hold of you and tormented you

YOU were the best; you defied the laws of physics

Topping the highest charts with your number one hits

You’re still Unbreakable; it was like you were Invincible

You couldn’t control your feet when the music got into you

YOU were the Greatest show on Earth

And your tragedy was a fate that you did not deserve

Heaven can wait; I want you back

Bring us new music that we once had

Workin’ day and night like a Dancing machine

Fulfilled our appetites but starved your dream

It Makes me wanna scream that you’re Out of my life

Because I know how hard it is to survive

When you have so much hurt in you

You can’t tell Who’s lovin’ you

And You can’t win when they’re defeating you

But who could we blame?  Do we Blame it on the boogie?

Or do we blame it on the ones that were filled with jealousy

It just wasn’t Human nature that they did you that way

Who would’ve known that you’re life would pay?

It’s ironic that the man who was Scared of the moon

Was inspired by the moon and is now above the moon

And I swear, Michael, you left us too soon

But you’re in a place where there’s healing for wounds

You died alone but You are not alone

The Rockin’ Robin that sang is now flying home

To a place where you’re no longer a Tabloid Junkie

To a place where you can finally be free

Free from the pain and the deceit

Free from the illness you couldn’t beat

Maybe tomorrow we’ll Heal the world

Maybe it will sink in that We are the world

But if we could make it better so there’d never be pain

Then, Michael, your life could never be in vain

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
