    death before suicide

Her silence does not attract the company she craves

    And she is happy

    It is better this way

The fall reflected in her autumn eyes

The leaves on the roof tickling across her bare feet

She leans over the edge softly

To let the screams vanish inside her

Peace falls along with the lithe body

    Nobody noticed

    The genius mind

    They took away from

    And left bleeding

    In the dark

Her searching eyes find the growing sidewalk

    Before darkness befalls her

The pressure of the air hitting her head

And erasing what could have been doubt

And is now the sureness of the dead

    Blackness

    Along with numbness

Reaches her limbs before the fall could hurt

She dies with a smile slight on her blood frothed lips

Her limbs contorted and red dyed

Her eyes gently closed and yet fixated

For she saw hope before she could ever realize fault

    And selfishness

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
