End of the Line

End of the Line

It's coming before you know it
Something that does not seem to be
When everything that we know
Will crumble to history
The mistakes that have been made
Are being made again and again
We think we're so much better
Than everything that has been
We prove mother nature wrong
Complicating everything
When what you call progress
Is actual deformity

I enjoyed this one. It reminds me of the fall of Rome as everything "progressed" until it fell apart

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
