    Enduring Love

It comes from the deepest part of the soul,
    at first considered weak.
    Shared between a couple,
can grow to the heights of peaks.

A couple needs to work together,
in order for it to grow.
    Leaving it to linger,
    the process becomes slow.

    Never leave love unattended,
    for it is so frail.
    The slightest imperfection,
can cause it's srength to fail.

    Love oh so enduring,
    when so brightly shown.
    Captured by two lovers,
    is set into stone.

    Built apon by generations,
    shared from within the past.
    Love is carried evermore,
    cared for it will last.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
