Time at Hand
It wasn't very long ago,
when we walked hand in hand.
The child I dearly loved,
left like a castle made of sand.
A heart made to sorrow,
cries can't ease this pain.
Time has lost all meaning,
until we meet again.
Moments so deeply cherished,
forever linger in my mind.
Memories of the good times,
aren't very hard to find.
She was my everything,
when I sang to her at night.
Singing her to sleep,
was such a wonderful delight.
Rocking her back and forth,
until sleep finally caught her.
The hours never bothered me,
because she was my daughter.
How I wish those times,
would have never ended.
My heart longs for those moments,
and will never be mended.
She was taken from me,
by an unfortunate act of God.
Her lifeless remains,
lie beneath a few feet of sod.
I know she's with me somewhere,
my angel she has become.
I know she watches over me,
until my time has come.
I know we'll be together,
again one fine day.
Once again see the sunshine,
glisten upon her face.
when we walked hand in hand.
The child I dearly loved,
left like a castle made of sand.
A heart made to sorrow,
cries can't ease this pain.
Time has lost all meaning,
until we meet again.
Moments so deeply cherished,
forever linger in my mind.
Memories of the good times,

She was my everything,

Rocking her back and forth,

The hours never bothered me,

How I wish those times,

Once again see the sunshine,
