  • I'm gonna be dumping random thangents, thoughts in my mind I just have to let out. I hope no one minds, but thoughts are poetry right?

Poem Commentary

So anyway, we all know the heartbreak road..but how does it truly make us feel? Sad sure, but Walt Whitman cries to us "CARPE DIUM" thus causing my confusion. I want to cry but I must trek on.

Excuse Me, I Broke My Heart

Excuse me,
I broke my heart,
The feeling is bitter tart,
Every rose,
A thorn.
Every person,
Feels scorned.
But I feel torn,
Do I lay here,
In my sorrow?
Or get up,
To take tomorrow?

Yeah it was just a short thought that passed through my head in my insomnia spell (which you'll be seeing more of)

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
