    Fading

    I'm living a lie,
Might as well be left to die.
Alone from others I stay away,
    And by myself I decay.

    Watching time fly,
As the days pass me bye.
    No one ever see's me,
    And the loneliness kills me.

    Beside me people walk,
But they can't even hear me talk.
    Inside myself do I cry,
A facade on the outside held high.

    I burn with pain everyday,
And ashes of myself just fade away.
I'll sit and watch through my prison windows,
As my body fades into the shadows.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
