Falling
Determined to walk in the sun's direction
To catch a ray that can only burn
and manipulate a pale complexion.
Closed eyes open slowly
Throughout conversation
in the company of the moon.
Only to close again at daybreak.
The wish uttered to dancing stars
For the glimpse of light
seen but only for a moment.
The will to rise up
Arms raised in agony
Demanding wings.
Prance in unison
with the sheep of dreams.
But only a number.
Only a number?
Only a number.
When was the beginning?
Unfelt from numbness.
Ears cloudy with tears
Hair tickles the spine,
Looking up to the mountains,
Pasting feathers on arms unembracing,
Jumping, soaring, falling to a fresh start.
Still realizing
A gravity glitch
Cannot ease a heavy heart.
To catch a ray that can only burn
and manipulate a pale complexion.
Closed eyes open slowly
Throughout conversation
in the company of the moon.
Only to close again at daybreak.
The wish uttered to dancing stars
For the glimpse of light
seen but only for a moment.
The will to rise up
Arms raised in agony
Demanding wings.
Prance in unison
with the sheep of dreams.
But only a number.
Only a number?
Only a number.
When was the beginning?
Unfelt from numbness.
Ears cloudy with tears
Hair tickles the spine,
Looking up to the mountains,
Pasting feathers on arms unembracing,
Jumping, soaring, falling to a fresh start.
Still realizing
A gravity glitch
Cannot ease a heavy heart.
