Poem Commentary

I wote this as a teenager. I label it growing pains.

Family Dysfunction

Why do I feel like an outsider to something I have known my entire life?
Why do these people feel like strangers in a familiar place?
In a since I have always seen things a little different than they do.
But still I always had a place.
That is until now.

Family can be a tough thing. Short but to the point. Really like the ending.

This is a lonely feeling, isn't it? Like looking through a window at everyone having a good time while you are out in the cold. Not fun. I was thinking... maybe later on, you could let us know a little more, as to why you feel so isolated, what did they do? What do they do to cause this hateful situation? I think this is a fine piece...and nosey me...I want more. (smiles)

Thanks again for the nice comments. I wrote this when I was a teenager. Maybe I can send a private message with the details. First I plan to read all your poems.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
