• Love

Thoughts and visions flood my mind. I am taken to a world where your eyes are the sun.

The streams flow with the warm chocolate of your skin. I long to dwell in your presence and breathe your fragrance, it keeps me.

I fantasize of nights with your lips as diamonds. A treasure I pursue after as a slave pursuing his master. I am entranced by you and I welcome it.

I desire an ounce of you to call mine. To have with me and show me what it is like to live in a fantasy. For before I knew you that is where I found you, in my fantasies, my dreams, my impossibilities.

I promise to hold you with the stars, equal to the angels. You sustain me. My love for you is my life.

If I could pause a moment in time it would be with your smile, with your eyes fixed on me as my heart is overwhelmed with thoughts of love unattained.

I often wonder of your love, is it as I imagine? I envision it as vast as the Nile, deep as the Grand Canyon, precious as gold, glorious as pearls, glittering in the shimmering glory of the light that it produces.

Oh my unfulfilled love, the sweet contradictions of my emotions sends me into a spiral of despair. I bask in your presences but anger at me for not possessing you

With boldness I approach you but only in my mind’s eye, afraid to be unworthy in reality. For alas, I am a longing soul looking to his dreams to find you, for that is where you reside.

You are the Romantic Preacher. Keep preaching. Keep the pen flowing with romance.

thanks. i try to encapsulate what i feel for my wife in my romantic poetry even though i dont write a whole lot of it.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
