    Flight Within

    I woke one morning and realized
    My eyes were open yet
    I couldn't see the light
    In my emotional darkness
    I decided to look inside
    I reached out my arms like an eagle in flight
    As I soared within
    I found the brilliant stillness of my heart.
    No longer in the dark
    I found God
    Residing inside
