Sunrise

Sunrise

I see the first flashes of light piercing through
the fresh morning sky
The clouds dancing about as if following a
silent orchestra
My senses slowly awaken as a fresh spring
flower
Opening for the first time
I become aware of my own reality
Understanding my inadequacy to reflect to the
world the true essence of my soul
Then
I silently profess to myself once again

"Today with this sunrise
I too will rise from my own shadow
I will shine like the sun and dance like the
clouds
because today I am the SUNRISE"

Very inspirational. Good imagery. Nicely written.

thank you

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
