Flowers in The Night

Poem Commentary

I poem i wrote some years ago, quite a lot in truth. but its one of the first ones i wrote that i truly liked felt like i might share it.

Flowers in The Night

Flowers weeping silently in the night,
Are they the only ones to hear my souls lonely plight?
Why am I trapped here so alone?
Is there some sin for which i must atone?
Here alone, the flowers my only friend.
Tragic partners till the bitter end.
Will anyone ever hear my souls mournful cry?
Should the sorrow consume me, would I die?
The flowers for me they cry,
Alas my own tears have ran dry.
How long this torment have I withstood?
Do I truly wish to be free, Even if i could?
Now in the darkness I bid thee farewell.
And I pray to the night your soul never sell.
