    Forgotten Memory

I wake up happy and get dressed to head to our spot.
He meets me everyday at our spot.
When i get there i sit and wait.
After awhile it hits me and the memories flood back.

Him holding me and looking me in the eyes.
The pain in them looked unbearable.
He tells me we need to talk.
Right as he says it a knot forms in my stomach.
"Its over," he says. "Its whats best for both of us,
it was never meant to be.. I love you but.. *sigh*
    youll see."

    I remember everything he said.
The way he looked... smelled... tasted...
I put my head in my hands and breathe..
    ..in..
    ..out..
    ..in..
    ..out..
My eyes begin to water but i dont want to cry..
    Not here.
    Not now.
My heart is aching and i want to scream
I want to go back and figure all this out.
Was it something i said? was it something i did?
To make him feel that way?
    I guess ill never know.
And he will always be a forgotten memory.

I'm so sorry, honey. *hugs you tight* I hope things are much, much better now.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
