GOD, ARE YOU THERE?

GOD, ARE YOU THERE?

As the day drew to a close and the sun was sinking low, I sank in the lawn swing and suddenly the stars began to glow. I wondered, Where's God, is He aware that I'm here? The stars seemed to chime, yes, I know you are there. I wondered, God, do you really love me, like the Bible said, Then I remembered when he raised me from my death bed. Lord, is your everlasting love really focused on me? The trees whispered, if not for Him, where would you be? I thought, God, I need a real friend to call my own, I thought of my Mother and the love we had known. We'd talk and laugh and share a hug or two, I was drawn to her spirit and everyday I learned something new. I wondered, Lord, do you have a purpose for my life? The words of that old song sank in like a knife. It cut down deep like a two-edged sword, You see, very simply, I Was Born To Serve The Lord. So, Please forgive me, Lord, for letting doubt creep in, Thanks for not holding against me, any of my sins. I'm so sorry, Lord, for not trusting you, For without your Grace, I won't make it through. sis 05/30/2008
