God's Eyes, Grim

God's Eyes, Grim

“Wake up, humanity!”
God cries,
his eyes
opened to the dreariness of the world,
his dream evaporated,
replaced by the nightmare called war,
God’s eyes,
grim,
it’s like humans assaulting him,
wishing to return to his dream,
as he hears humanity scream,
bombs bursting in air,
the dead everywhere,
as a chill washed across his face,
it was a disgrace,
love was certainly misplaced,
fear of destruction,
loomed near,
the angels cry, that he could hear,
as terror was replaced by hellish actions,
God closed his eyes
and fought back the urge to swear,
he still cries,
then he would stare,
finally after withdrawing his glare,
he bows his head and prays,
that humanity changes their ways.

very powerful write!
