Good Enough
I worshipped the ground upon which you walk,
And I'd listen whenever you would talk.
I wouldn't cheat And I wouldn't lie;
My best, I would always try.
To make you as happy as could be,
Was all that was important to me.
But I guess I wasn't good enough,
I wish I could have your love.
Was I not good enough to you?
Maybe I wasn't pretty enough, it's true.
But you mean the world to me,
Everyone else can see.
I would do anything for you, anything at all;
All you would have to do is call.
I'd get down on my knees and beg;
I hate to admit it, but I would beg,
Just for you to come back to me.
So I could spend my life making you see;
How much I love you; how much you mean to me
But I guess I'm not good enough.
And I'd listen whenever you would talk.
I wouldn't cheat And I wouldn't lie;
I would do anything for you, anything at all;
All you would have to do is call.
I'd get down on my knees and beg;
I hate to admit it, but I would beg,
Just for you to come back to me.
So I could spend my life making you see;
How much I love you; how much you mean to me
But I guess I'm not good enough.
