Goodbye

There you go.
goodbye.
Just walking away.
goodbye.
Wait, you aren't walking, and neither am I!
goodbye.
As we sit here one last time, you look at me with that smile of yours.
goodbye.
I love you!
goodbye.
I'll see you when you get here!
goodbye.
Forgive me!
goodbye.
Now as you look down at where my ashes lay, you cry!
goodbye.
You look bat at the old times.
goodbye.
You see our love!
goodbye.
Now I'm down here and your up there!
goodbye
You whisper my name as I fly away.
goodbye.
Now you say those words I've longed for.
goodbye,
You realize it's time.
Now goodbye, my love!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
