    Why You and Not Me?

When the wind blows I can hear you calling.
The love we had together never left even though you did.
As I stand here looking at your burial ground
I remember all the fun and amazing times we had together.
The smile I gave you the first time we met.
Your beautiful laugh when I made a joke.
The love and friendship we had together.
    Oh, and our first kiss.
Those times mean so much to me and I miss every moment of them.
Why did you have to go?
Why did that truck take your life and not mine?
All I can ask is why.
There's so many unanswered questions and no one to answer them for me.
My life seems so silent and lifeless without you.
Please come back! I beg you!
Someone make time go back so I can tell you not to come and see me.
    So you wont get hurt.
I love you. Forever and ever.
    Love, Me!

I just love this poem so much. I also very sorry about your friend. Just remember, it's not your fault. You couldn't have known what was going to happen. Keep on writing!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
