    Poem Commentary

This poem is for my Grandmother Joan Ireland. She is in a Coma and will not make it long. I will miss her terribley. This poem is a rememberance for her a tiny peace of how I see her. My grandmother is an amazing woman full of grace, and dignity, and most of all love for everyone. She never judged and was always deeply understanding. She helped me grow in so many ways.

    Grandmama

    Always there
    never scared
you take my hand and lead me from my fears.
Truly there always by my side

here to help and to guide
     You never let me hide
    You teach me to fight.
    Learned wrong from right.
Showed me the path from the darkness.
Gave me the beauty of the sun and made me breathless.
Now your going to the light
and I sit here and try not to cry
I mumbel apologies for all the bad things I've done
    And whisper its okay
    but when your gone
    I won't be okay
    Not for today,
    nor tomorrow
Many months will come and go
and they will be filled with the deepest sorrow
    Goodbye blue eyes
    sweetest of eyes
    voice full of passion
    heart full of love
    rest in peace
